NOW-TECH is an additional program where technology is used as a tool to learn. You don't need to be an expert at technology to apply. You just need to have a willingness to learn along with a strong motivation.

 

NOW-TECH is a collaborative effort between the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound and Tacoma Public Schools. Students from Tacoma High Schools take the course, which is taught at BOTTLAB Headquarters, located at the East Side branch of the Boys & Girls Club.

 

You will learn basic A+ (Computer Repair and System Maintenance), Basic Web design and other technology trivialities. You will then choose the enter advanced A+ or Multimedia.

 

Multimedia consists of graphic design, Web design and advanced videography and photography. You also will practice service learning (see link at left).
