Club Tech is developed through a partnership between Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Microsoft Corporation. Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound is proud to have been a pilot site since early 2001 and in being among the first to bring Club Tech to our members.

Skill Tech: Rather than learning by rote all the functions of various software programs, participants perform activities toward the completion of larger projects.

Web Tech: designed to introduce members to the principles and practice of Web design and development.

Design Tech: Members learn artistic concepts and technology skills to create professional-quality print materials and animation.

Photo Tech: Members take digital photos, explore the affects of distance and angle, and learn about photo composition. They also learn digital photo

manipulation, from basic photo editing tasks, such as cropping and adjusting color and light, to advanced projects.

Music Tech: Members explore a variety of digital music software applications and basic music theory. They learn to write sheet music, mix musical loops, and compose and record original songs.

Movie Tech: Members write screenplays and practice the hands-on process of filming and editing digital movies.

Additionally, Advanced Media is offered specifically through BOTTLAB Headquarters and features service learning by creating real-world media projects, including Web Design, Photography, Sound Design and Video Production.
